Do you remember the Hips-Around Spin from the previous tutorial?
We learned how to follow the natural direction of a spin by creating a circular momentum.
Today we’ll go one step further. Or rather… one step through. 🙂
We’ll combine two spins and use a transition in between, that I call „The Step-Trough“.
This transition makes it easier to get your hips forward (and around the pole), whenever you’re spinning. For example, to enter the Ballerina Spin.
Have you ever used this transition in your routines?
And now, I’m proudly presenting today’s combo. It’s my favourite and I think it’s the most fluent and graceful routine I’ve ever come up with.
I had two intermediate tricks in mind and focused on connecting them smoothly by using one of the 3 techniques, that I’ll share with you very soon. Here’s a little taster:
P.S.: Do you have any ideas for moves or spins, where the Step-Through transition can be useful?
